I WORKING MEN’S CLUB arrivano in Italia con il loro album di debutto omonimo
pubblicato il 2 ottobre 2020 su Heavenly Recordings.
Uno degli esordi più interessanti dell’anno, provenienti dal West Yorkshire inglese
e capitanati dal geniale e sfrontato diciottenne Sydney Minsky-Sargeant capace di conciliare
la curiosità verso l’escapismo della scena rave con il brodo primordiale post-punk.
“Working Men’s Club” è stato prodotto da Ross Orton (The Fall, M.I.A., Arctic Monkeys).
Intrecci di chitarre, synth mascherati da batterie e i demo ruvidi ed elettrizzanti di Minsky-Sargeant
sono stati portati in vita dalla produzione affilata ma sensibile di Orton.
In un anno i Working Men’s Club hanno raggiunto incedibili risultati. Con due membri originali in meno e tre nuovi in più, la band si è trovata sotto l’ala dei Fat White Family. I loro due singoli sono stati apprezzati da BBC 6 Music, Beats 1, NME, The Guardian, DIY e Q. La band è stata in tour con Fat White Family, Mac De Marco e Bodega, e ha suonato in un tour britannico da headliner sold out, con 600 presenze a Manchster.
